New EZ-GO cartDecent weather here in Indianapolis for the last few days, which was good. We also received our new fleet of EZ-GO golf carts and our new PROLINK GPS system Monday, March 10.

The new carts are really nice and have some new, high-tech features. Along with our new GPS system, Brickyard Crossing is one of the few facilities that has the amenities for an outstanding golf experience.

The new cart has been a project of EZ-GO for the last few years. Some features on the new cart include a new brake system that does not require setting the brake to keep the cart from rolling. The RXV cart also has an AC motor.

GPS system on new EZ-GO cartThe GPS system is the new Prostar version of PROLINK, with the Scorecast system embedded into the program. This will allow players to keep score on the monitors, and it also has some neat features for scoring golf events. It also has space for advertisement.

In the world of professional golf, Tiger Woods is back in action this week at Arnie’s tournament at Bay Hill, and John Daly is out of action before the tournament ever started. John missed his pro-am tee time, which disqualified him from the tournament. He also was informed that his teacher, Butch Harmon, was done with him. As John said in an interview, “bad week for me.”

Odds are pretty good that Tiger will keep his winning streak alive this week, considering his record at Bay Hill.

The phone here at the Brickyard Crossing has been ringing off the hook with players looking for a course to play. But we have delayed our anticipated opening of March 15 due to the forecast and the recent low temperatures here in Indy.

I must get back to my GPS training now, and hopefully next week we can report on some golf being played here at the Brickyard.
