The Masters has started, and the stars are circling the top. But young guns seem to be trying to stave off the notion that Augusta is for veterans.

The thing about The Masters is that the tournament really doesn’t start till the back nine on Sunday. Most players are just trying to keep within striking distance for Sunday. My pick for the title, Tiger, is just where he needs to be for Sunday, hanging around.

This week at the Brickyard we have our BC Men’s club opening tournament Saturday. Problem is, the temperature today is 68, and tomorrow it is going to be 40 with wind and a chance of rain. The ladies’ club opens up their tournament schedule this Wednesday.

Openings for both the men’s and ladies’ clubs are available. Just give us a call here at the Brickyard at (317) 492-6572, and we will get you the info.

Another event we have coming up this Monday is an NAIA college tournament. We have 14 teams from around the country coming to play in the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational. Dress warm, boys! After that event, we will play host to the Women’s Mid-American Conference Championship on April 25-27.

The month of May is just around the corner, and the phones are ringing, checking out the availability of the golf course for May. A lot of people may not realize this, but the course is open on days when the race cars are practicing, one of the most unique experiences in golf. Pebble Beach has the Pacific Ocean, and Brickyard Crossing has the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
